What Participants of SHOW UP Are Saying...
Elizabeth O.
"This primarily awakened a sense of love within how I show up for myself as a way to honor others. All the love I have crafted for others over the years, granting myself that as well felt like an expansiveness. Â
This space was so deeply rewarding. I am grateful to have met these individuals and myself more deeply over the last several weeks. This was a practice in deepening our humanity within which each of us can enable ourselves and each other to thrive."Â
Alex S.
“I am taking away a deeper understanding that though structures of white supremacy and patriarchy and all the harmful institutions are not my personal fault, I am deeply affected by them and it is my RESPONSIBILITY to take back my power in recovering from their harmful affects in my life. But releasing guilt and shame about the system and my privelege so that I can actually move forward with action and curiousity instead of feeling paralyzed by fear of causing harm.”
Alicia D.
"This course was so introspective and led to digging deep in ways I did not anticipate.
I feel encouraged to never stop showing up. I'm coming away from these sessions with a sense of acceptance that I did not previously have. I'm committed to picking up each day where I left off the day before. And that doesn't cause me to feel discouraged because it isn't starting over, it's continuing. I feel prepared to step into real life, armed with the tools I've learned through our time together."
Jamie K.
"I'm thankful for the space to grapple through complicated feelings and emotions. As an incredibly introverted and highly sensitive individual, having a safe community to bounce my poorly formed words off of was incredibly helpful. I found that they were able to relate to what I was dealing with, and helped me better articulate what I was trying to say."
Ani F.
"I learned the true power of community during our time together—what it really means to be in community. It’s not about showing up when it’s easy or when it feels comfortable; it’s about committing to be present, even when it’s hard. I came face to face with my own tendencies toward a “throwaway culture”—the impulse to withdraw from myself and others when things get tough and think it is some form of righteousness."
Lisa D.
"I was sincerely afraid to engage with others on this journey. But, the environment was warm, sincere and loving/caring towards me and my fellow cohorts.
I learned that others also have similar struggles with finding a way to show. That I can show up, be uncomfortable, reflect and grow."

Reparations in Action: The Power of Black-Led Learning Spaces
In a world where Black bodies have been commodified and undervalued for centuries, working with Black leaders who guide us through the work of racial justice is more than a choice—it's an act of reparations. When you engage with Black-led spaces, you're not just supporting a cause; you're contributing to the healing and restoration of a community that has been systematically oppressed.
For white individuals, the benefits extend far beyond mere learning. Being taught by Black leaders transforms the process into one of rehumanization. Instead of the shame-based individualism and competition often found in white affinity groups, Black-led spaces invite you to reconnect with your humanity. Here, the focus shifts from performance to genuine connection, from guilt to growth, and from isolation to community.
This is more than education; it’s a radical shift toward healing—a path that not only changes the world but also transforms your heart.
